Officials from the agency stated that designating three Princess ships to be based in Singapore will further strengthen the city-state’s role as a leading cruise hub in the Asia-Pacific region.

This partnership is expected to attract more than 150,000 passengers between 2027 and 2030 and bring significant economic benefits to Singapore’s tourism and maritime sectors. Singapore’s role as a seasonal homeport for Princess Cruises is expected to attract a significant base of international travelers, particularly from medium- and long-haul markets such as Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Officials stated that this ship deployment will further accelerate the growth of the “fly-cruise” segment and strengthen Singapore’s position as the preferred homeport in Asia.

As part of its commitment, Princess Cruises will deploy three ships to Singapore—the Diamond Princess, Sapphire Princess, and Grand Princess—with the number of sailings set to double by 2030. With support from the STB Cruise Development Fund (CDF), these ships will offer extended itineraries ranging from 10 to 28 days, giving travelers more time to explore the region’s attractions. Princess Cruises’ itineraries will include round-trip cruises to Southeast Asian destinations such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, as well as longer voyages between Singapore and Japan.
